The original stirring plate had to be replace not for wearing out but because a skunk figured out how to reach inside to get food out and chewed off all of the silicon fins except one. The replacement was a perfect fit and easy to drop into place. Since skunks cannot climb we moved the feeder to a higher location where our cats can still access it and the skunks cannot.
